Trade Unions Training Guide on International Labour Standards

Download here those parts of the Guide that interest you.

  1. Printable Guide
  2. Transparencies
  3. Multimedia Guide

1) Printable Guide

This version of the Guide is ready for the user to print in A4 format on the printer connected to his or her computer, either in black and white or in colour.

To do this, the user must first download the whole (or selected parts) of the Guide to be printed to the computer's hard disk. Trainers and other users will thus have the full text of the Guide in traditional form to consult, study or duplicate (either in part or in its entirety).

Users can adapt certain parts (e.g. the training activities) to the specific needs of each trade union organization.

Because of its size, Part 5 has been split into six distinct files.

This version of the Guide contains transparencies only. With your computer, you can use it as a multimedia application or to project the transparencies on to a screen in the classroom to illustrate your course based on the printed version of the Guide.
Some of the transparencies include video sequences.
Trainers (and other users) thus have transparencies in electronic form to consult, study, print, and, most important, project in the classroom on to a large television set which all participants can see, or on to a large projection screen; in this latter case, there are 2 options: to use an overhead projector and a liquid crystal projection screen, or to use a video projector connected directly to the computer.
You can take full advantage of this version of the guide:

  • by using the specific Acrobat options;
  • by using the buttons set in the margin of each page;
  • by activating the video clips.
To do this, first download the chosen transparencies and the corresponding video clips to your computer's hard disk. You should save the transparencies in a file named "french" and the video clips in a file named "video". Place the "french" and "video" files inside a folder named "guide".

N.B.:
None of the interactive buttons on the transparencies are active until the corresponding parts have been downloaded

You can use this version of the Guide on your computer as an interactive multimedia application.
Trainers (and other users) thus have the full Guide in electronic form to consult, study, duplicate or project, in part or in its entirety. You can take full advantage of this version of the guide:

  • by using the specific Acrobat options
  • by using the buttons set at the top of each page
  • by using the relevant hypertext links.

This version also contains links to the transparencies.

First, download the chosen items to your computer's hard disk. Then save the transparencies in a file named "french" and the video clips in a file named "video". Place The "french" and "video" files inside a folder named "guide".

If the transparencies and video clips that you want to use in this version are the same as ones you have already downloaded, you can re-use the ones that you have already downloaded.

A CD-ROM containing all these items may be obtained upon request from the International Training Centre in Turin: actrav@itcilo.it.

N.B.:
The hypertext links between the transparencies, the multimedia Guide, the video clips and the supporting documents will only become fully operational once you have downloaded the full set of items available here, which make up this interactive Multimedia Guide.
