Overview of Unit 3

At this point in the course, you should spend some time researching the following topics:

• extent to which, at present, there is (or not) a debate in your organization concerning the four areas addressed by the Declaration;
• as a second step of your research, try to find out whether your organization has already been involved in providing comments to the annual reports under the Declaration’s Follow-up.

Once the above mentioned information is collected, move on to the second part of the exercise. You should now organize your report back to the classroom following these guidelines:

1. Summarize the discussion that took place in your organization concerning the four areas addressed by the Declaration.
2. Describe your organization’s involvement in the Follow-up to the Declaration. Who has the responsibility within your organization to prepare comments on the government reports. Is there a committee/department in charge of preparing such comments?
